What's New at West Stow Pods — Summer 2026 Update

West Stow Pods is an independently-run glamping site tucked into Suffolk's beautiful countryside, with four Pods, two Lodges, and the one-of-a-kind Pod Hollow — our cosy, second-breakfast-inspired underground retreat.

We're always working on making your stay better, so here's a rundown of everything that's new — starting with our latest additions.

New This Summer

Smokeless Fire Pits for Hire

Every unit can now hire its own smokeless fire pit — perfect for toasting marshmallows and evenings under the stars, without the smoky clothes the next morning.

• £25 hire, including one large bundle of wood
• Extra wood available for £10 per bundle
• Add it when you book, or decide once you arrive — just collect your fire pit from next to the log store in the car park

New TVs in the Lodges and Pod Hollow

Perfect for family film nights after a day exploring the forest:

• Woodland Lodge — 65-inch 4K OLED TV
• Pod Hollow — 55-inch 4K OLED TV
• Cedar Lodge — 55-inch Ambilight TV

Superfast 1GB Internet

We've upgraded to 1GB-speed internet, distributed right across the site. Stream, video call, or share your holiday snaps with ease.

One honest note: inside the Pods themselves, the roof material can weaken the signal — but you'll get a good connection out on your decking. Or take it as your cue for a proper digital detox!

The 'Bits and Bobs' Shed

Forgotten something? Our new bits and bobs shed is stocked with the little things guests often need mid-stay — lighters, corkscrews, spare fans, toilet rolls, and other basics and essentials. Just message us for the padlock code and help yourself.

More Room for the Whole Family

• Pod Hollow now sleeps up to 5 guests thanks to a new sofa bed, and features a real fireplace and charming themed touches throughout.
• Woodland Lodge now sleeps up to 6 guests with its new sofa bed and real fireplace — great for bigger families or multigenerational trips.
• Dogs are welcome too, with dog-friendly options for up to two pets.

Premium Eve Mattresses

Both Lodges and Pod Hollow are fitted with premium, super-comfy Eve mattresses, and the Pods have upgraded mattresses too — so a great night's sleep is guaranteed wherever you stay.

Fully Renovated Accommodation

Cedar Lodge, Wulfrun, Aelfred, and Boudicca have all been fully renovated with modern finishes and refreshed décor — so every unit on site now offers the same comfortable, well-kept experience.

Outdoor String Lights

Every Pod and Woodland Lodge now has outdoor string lights, adding a magical glow to barbecues, stargazing, and lazy evenings outside.

Real Fireplaces

Both Pod Hollow and Woodland Lodge have real fireplaces — perfect for cosy nights and fireside storytelling in our Hobbit-inspired hideaway.
